The menu bar

meny

In addition to the usual menu bar at the top of the screen (explained in Open LibreLogo), there is another menu popping up when you click on a line or shape you've drawn. This menu has actually not as much to do with programming, but can simplify your life if the aim is to make specific drawings using Logo. (For this menu to appear you must have activated View → Toolbars → Drawing Object Properties from the main menu.) When you hold the mouse pointer over any of the symbols on the toolbar it shows tips on what the command does. Here I’ll just comment on some of the buttons.

The Line color  button opens a dialog where you can set the line color.

The Arrow style  button opens a drop down menu where you can select the end style on arrows. You can set the end style for each end of an arrow.

Click on Line style  to open a dialog where you can select the style used for the line. You can choose between solid, and different versions of dashed an dotted styles.

The Line width  button sets the line width.

The Fill color  button opens a dialog where you set the fill color used to fill the background of an area.

The first Area style / Filling  button opens a dialog where you choose one of the fill styles: none, color, gradient, hatching, or bitmap.

The contents of the second Area style / Filling  button depends on the setting of the first button. Here you set the color, style or other options used for the color, gradient, hatching, or bitmap.

After pressing the Rotate  button you can rotate the figure, the line, or the turtle by grasping the shape by holding down the left mouse button and drag the figure to rotate it.

The others buttons in the menubar are special and rarely if ever used in LibreLogo.
